Once upon a time Bergamo’s countryside was known for the production of wines.
But it was mainly focused on quantity, today we can count on the excellence represented by Valcalepio Doc, red and white, whose production area is a wide hilly area ranging from 300 to 600 meters of altitude on slopes well exposed to the sun.
These are also areas of environmental value, where the Roads of Wine and Flavors of Valcalepio are located. Justly famous is the Muscat of Scanzo Docg, a classic meditation wine whose vines are believed to have been introduced by the Romans and maybe even before by the Etruscans.
