The most suggestive and “local” way to move from the Lower Town to the Upper Town is constituted by the “stairways”.
As the name implies, these are exclusively pedestrian routes, stepped and paved with characteristic cobblestones.
They go up sinuous, bordered by ancient dry stone walls, through fields, terraced gardens and gardens of beautiful villas: the scenarios that follow one another in your sight will enchant you at every step.
But the stairways are a place loved also by sportsmen in search of training. They are in fact paths away from traffic, quiet and suggestive.
